The Red Devils will return to Premier League action on Sunday against the Villans.
Noussair Mazraoui is eligible for selection, while Lisandro Martínez and Mason Mount are expected to miss Manchester United’s Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Mazraoui, a Moroccan full-back who hurt himself during the recent loss to Newcastle United, resumed training on Wednesday.
Regarding Martínez, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner will require additional time to reach match readiness due to an ongoing calf ailment. Michael Carrick’s team, who are once again in the running for a European competition qualification position, benefited greatly from “Licha’s” recent recovery from a catastrophic injury.
Martinez may not be ready to play against Villa because of a delay in his recuperation from a calf injury. It was reported earlier this week.
Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount ruled out for the Manchester United vs Aston Villa game

Initially, it was anticipated that he would return in two weeks. But he missed the trip to Everton last month. It appears that he might not make a comeback to the starting lineup before next month’s league match against Leeds United.
Mount contributed inventiveness and fluid movement to United’s offensive performance during the season’s promising first half.
But the team has been reminded of why they can’t rely on him due to recent injuries. According to reports, the club have chosen to exercise caution with him due to his history of injuries, even though the problem is not too serious.
Before their match at Old Trafford, Manchester United and Aston Villa stand at third and fourth place, respectively. At the press conference on Friday, Carrick is probably going to give a team news update.
Albert Mills, an 18-year-old centre back, was elevated to first-team training by Carrick on Wednesday. However, it seems unlikely that he will be included in the Sunday matchday squad against Aston Villa.
Matthijs de Ligt has been missed dearly. The defender last featured in the matchday 13’s 2-1 victory vs. Crystal Palace. A back injury continues to keep him out.
Moreover, there is no update or hint of any return date as of yet.
Which injury has Lisandro Martinez suffered?
He has a calf injury.
Which injury has Mason Mount suffered?
