Manchester United injury update ahead of Arsenal clash; Luke Shaw & Lisandro Martinez could make return

The Red Devils suffered a 4-0 loss against Crystal Palace in the last game
It is proving to be a miserable end to Manchester United‘s campaign. Their poor form throughout the season and an injury crisis at the business end means they may end up missing out on European football next season. However, there is a sly chance of turning the table only if the team led by Erik Ten Hag manages to pull off a 3-point heist against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The Dutchman is without a whole host of regular starters in defence, forcing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to play on the defensive left flank. And, Casemiro and Jonny Evans to slot in as the centre-back duo. Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez are already on the sidelines. The manager didn’t clarify the situation with Bruno Fernandes as well, who missed the game at Selhurst Park.
Before the team takes on the Gunners, let us go through the injury updates for Ten Hag’s team.
Potential return against Arsenal
The tactician will be hopeful of having a bunch of his Red Devils stars back in time for Arsenal. This news could boost the morale of the squad as they bid to recover from a 4-0 drubbing against Crystal Palace.
The potential return for the Sunday clash includes, the most important, captain Bruno Fernandes who missed a game for the first time due to injury. Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez are both back on the training pitch and the Dutch manager is confident of their availability on Sunday.
Scott Mctominay will also hope to make his return against the Gunners after being in contention for the matchday squad at Selhurst Park.
