The Red Devils will take on the Kids in the second leg of the Quarter-Final in the UEFA Europa League.

The Red Devils will host the Ligue 1 side Lyon at the Old Trafford for the second leg of the Quarter-Finals in the UEFA Europa League. As the first leg ended in a 2-2 scoreline, either side would be desperate to settle the entry ticket to the semi-finals the hard way. Though United had a chance for a perfect away win, a poor goalkeeping display from Onana led to Lyon equalising in the last minutes of the game.

Manchester United lost their league game to Newcaslte United by 4-1, and the Red Devils’ poor form continued. Ruben Amorim and his team occupy the 14th place at the Premier League table with a tally of just 38 points. The Red Devils have a good record against Lyon as they are undefeated against them.

With home advantage on their side they will have to be at their best to qualify for the next round. On the other hand, Lyon will be relieved after the first leg draw. Now, they will travel to Manchester to lock horns against the Red Devils.

They have failed to beat United in their last encounters. Now they will have to beat them to make it to the Semifinals. In the last five games, they have won three matches, drawn once and lost once.

Fans have a lot of expectations from Paulo Fonseca and his players. In 29 games, Lyon have won 15 matches, drawn six games and lost eight matches. With 51 points on the table, they are sitting at the fourth position in Ligue 1.

They do have the quality to beat the home team. But they will have to be at their best to get a good result. This will be a mouthwatering clash, for sure.

Players to Watch

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes brings a lot to the table with his unique way of playing football. He is one of the team’s main leaders on and off the pitch for the Red Devils. He stands out by leading and pumping up his teammates through how well he plays.

What really makes Bruno Fernandes stand out from other players are his amazing technical skills. He is an all-round player who can score, provide assist and also when needed do the defensive work as well. With his amazing vision and creativity, he spots and pulls off passes that might be invisible to others.

The Portuguese international really stands out because of how smart he is on the field and his great sense of the game. He has played 44 games this season, in which he has scored 14 goals and provided 15 assists.

Moussa Niakhate (Lyon)

Niakhate is a highly proactive defender who is aggressive and stops everything coming his way. His aggressiveness shouldn’t deter the spectator from his ball-playing abilities. At 6’3″, the Frenchman offers a valuable asset in both boxes, especially in the opposition box as a set-piece threat.

He is very clean with the ball and doesn’t rush things, as he can progress the ball very well. Niakhate fits Fonseca’s style of play perfectly. He has played 36 matches this season for Lyon.
