The Red Devils will look to make more key additions in the summer window.
Manchester United have identified eight targets to restructure the team as they prepare for a huge summer transfer window at the end of the 2025-26 season. The Red Devils will be attempting to act quickly to acquire prominent signings before the market inflates.
With veteran midfielder Casemiro set to depart Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign and Ugarte also set for an exit, the Red Devils will undergo a major change in the middle of the field.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United will once again give priority to acquiring Brighton’s Baleba in order to fill the vacancy. Despite the failure of an earlier strategy, the club thinks a move is now more feasible due to a minor decline in the 22-year-old’s price tag and form.

The team is also looking for a “number eight,” therefore, the recruitment plan goes beyond a defensive midfielder. Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest remains the front-runner for this position. Still, Manchester City, a cross-town rival, will put up a fierce fight to secure the versatile midfielder.

In the event that the main objectives prove to be too elusive, other options are already being monitored. Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace is still a high-potential alternative, while Joao Gomes of Wolves is seen as a more affordable option, especially since his team is in danger of relegation.
Yan Diomande, a wonderkid for RB Leipzig, has gained attention. With ten goals and seven assists this season, the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has lit up the Bundesliga and provided the precise right-footed winger profile that Manchester United are currently lacking.

The club are keeping an eye on Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, who is having another successful season and recently scored in the Toffees’ 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea.
Lewis Hall of Newcastle United is the frontrunner to address Manchester United’s persistent left-back problems. With Tyrell Malacia’s time at the club coming to an end, Hall is viewed as Luke Shaw’s successor after an outstanding season that won him an England call-up under Thomas Tuchel.
Nathaniel Brown of Eintracht Frankfurt is also being considered as a backup option. With eight goal involvements this season, the 22-year-old German has been a star player in the Bundesliga.
In order to avoid the price increases usually associated with performances at the 2026 World Cup, Manchester United’s management are eager to finalise any transfers quickly, just like last summer.
