Canada are now leading 2-0. It is going to be an important goal for the hosts. The Maroons will be under pressure now. They will be looking to make a comeback, but their current performance has not been up to the mark.

The Canada men’s national soccer team are controlling the tempo of the game for now. With 70% ball possession, they are not looking to slow down. Jesse Marsch’s men are playing really well at the moment. The Qatari defence, which looked promising against Switzerland, has not been doing well so far.

Carney must now be proud of his team’s performance. The Jesse Marsch-led side will be coming close to securing their spot for the knockout stages with a win here.

These goals are going to play a positive role for Canada. Qatar are now under more pressure as Homam Ahmed was shown a red card in the 33rd minute. The Maroons are now down to 10 men and things are only going to be tougher for them moving forward.
