Miralem Pjanic urges Juventus to sign midfielder Sandro Tonali

Tonali currently plays for Premier League club Newcastle United.
Miralem Pjanic, a former Juventus player, believes the Old Lady should bolster their midfield by acquiring Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. Moreover, Pjanic said, “He is exactly what they require.”
Pjanic, a former Bianconeri midfielder, advises his old team to sign Tonali, an Italian international, this summer if they are to add steel to the middle of the pitch.
Notwithstanding the most recent problems with Douglas Luiz, the Bianconeri have been searching for midfield support for weeks.
Before the 2024-25 season ended, when Cristiano Giuntoli was still the club’s director, Tonali was linked to a move to Juventus.
However, Pjanic thinks the Italian team should continue to pursue Tonali even now that Damien Comolli has taken charge at the Allianz Stadium.
“I would sign Tonali; someone like him is worth the effort. He’s Italian and has great potential,” Pjanic told Gazzetta.
“He won with Milan and has continued to improve in England. He’s humble, strong, and with a touch of quality: what Juventus need.”
Juventus have made a number of significant internal changes, including elevating Giorgio Chiellini to a more senior position and appointing François Modesto as the new technical director. At Allianz Stadium, Pjanic played more matches under Massimiliano Allegri (135) than any other coach.
The former Old Lady’s midfielder was crucial in their dominance in winning the league. As a midfielder, Pjanic is aware of the club’s issue in the middle of the pitch, and his suggestion for them to buy Tonali highlights that the Italian midfielder’s addition will be important in giving Allegri a strong midfield.
Moreover, Tonali has already played for AC Milan and is aware of the league’s intensity-meaning it won’t take him much time to adjust under the Juventus head coach and start delivering the performance everyone would expect of him.
