The Reds have spent a big sum in the summer to bring in new faces at the club.
In the wake of Liverpool’s lavish summer spending, Mohamed Salah criticised a Liverpool fan page for “disrespecting” two previous stars. The Reds spent around £450 million to strengthen Arne Slot’s team in an attempt to win the Premier League again.
Two of their most notable additions are Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, who were acquired from Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United, respectively, for a total of £246 million. The number seven and number nine shirts that Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez had previously worn have been claimed by them.

Both Diaz and Nunez left the team in the summer to join Bayern Munich and Al-Hilal, respectively. One fan account posted a picture of the four stars, two new and two former, along with the statement, “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history,” indicating that Liverpool supporters already think the team has improved.

The comparison and comment didn’t go well with the Reds’ stalwart Salah, who responded to the tweet and lambasted the fan page for disrespecting the departed players.
Salah, who has not taken kindly to it, responded, “How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”
In the early going of the season, Salah has already discussed about one of Liverpool’s summer additions. The Frenchman, who came from Eintracht Frankfurt, Hugo Ekitike, and the Egyptian winger acknowledged that they still needed to work on their understanding on the pitch to get results.
Salah has previously made it obvious how he feels about Diaz and Nunez, as backed now by his defence of both of them. When the two exited the club, the forward gave them heartfelt remarks.
