Morocco are now gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They are placed in Group C. It is going to be interesting to see their performances at the biggest stage of them all.

Even though the Atlas Lions are Africa’s most successful national football team, they are not going to have it easy at FIFA’s flagship tournament. In their group stage games, they are set to take on Brazil, Haiti and Scotland. Neither of these teams are easy to take down, but tactics set up by Mohamed Ouahbi can create a major difference.

The Morocco national football team recently secured the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title after Senegal were stripped of the honour after a ruling by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The upcoming edition of the mega competition is going to have 104 fixtures. Canada, Mexico and the United States of America are going to host the matches. A total of 48 teams will be there, and we can expect some nail-biting finishes on the world stage.

When will Morocco announce their final squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026?

The final roster to represent the Morocco national football team at the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be announced on Tuesday, May 26. Time for the squad reveal has not been announced yet.

The head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, has confirmed that the final names will be revealed after a training camp from May 22 to May 26.

For an injured player to return to the squad, Ouahbi has set up two conditions. The injury should be fully gone, and the player must regain full fitness.

During a recent interview, Mohamed Ouahbi said, “Thankfully, no player is out of the World Cup. We can recover all the injured players. The important thing is to stay calm and allow them to complete treatment and rehabilitation properly.”
