Netherlands vs France: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

A win could see either of them secure one of the last 16 spots.
Poland were defeated 2-1 by the Netherlands in their first Euro 2024 group-stage encounter at Volksparkstadion. Wout Weghorst and Cody Gakpo scored goals in the victory. The Dutch enter the match against Les Bleus having won four straight in all competitions.
At Düsseldorf Arena, France defeated Austria 1-0 in their first-ever Euro 2024 group stage encounter. They have won all 13 of their previous international games going into matchday two.
In their previous meeting, which took place at the Johan Cruyff Arena during the previous season as an elimination match for the European Championship Qualifiers, France prevailed 2–1. France was up thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé in the seventh and the 53rd minute. In the 83rd minute, Quilindschy Hartman netted the lone goal for the Dutch team.
The Netherlands and France will take on each other at the UEFA Euro for the fourth time. In the quarterfinals of 1996, France triumphed on penalties, while in the group stages, the Netherlands won both times (3-2 in 2000 and 4-1 in 2008).
With the exception of a 2–0 loss in the UEFA Nations League in November 2018, France have won seven of their previous eight games against the Netherlands in all competitions. In addition, only three of the thirty prior encounters between France and the Netherlands have resulted in a tie (16 victories for France and 11 for the Netherlands).
