The Netherlands and Morocco last faced each other in May 2017 in a friendly.

Eager to win their first FIFA World Cup title, a charged Netherlands side will face Morocco in their round-of-32 clash. The game will be played at the Estadio Monterrey in Guadalupe, Mexico, on Saturday, June 29.

Ronald Koeman’s men topped Group F with seven points in three games. They started their campaign in the summer competition with a 2-2 draw against Japan. However, in the last two games of the group stage against Sweden and Tunisia, respectively, Oranje scored eight goals and conceded only two.

On the other hand, Morocco also finished their group stage campaign undefeated. In the first game, they played a 1-1 draw against Brazil. However, they later recorded two consecutive victories over Scotland and Haiti.

However, based on goal difference, they finished second in Group C, despite being level on points with eventual group toppers Brazil.
