Despite a slow start to their campaign, the Netherlands have recovered well in time and are up and running. The Dutch sealed a convincing 3-0 victory over Romania in the round of 16 clash and booked a quarter-final meeting with Turkey. Ronald Koeman’s men have qualified for the last eight for the first time since 2008 and will be keen to put their best foot forward.

Standing in their way will be Turkey who have been the story of the tournament so far. Turkey surpassed all expectations and have become every neutrals favourite at the championship. They sealed a 2-1 victory over Austria in their pre-quarter-final clash to reach the last eight of the tournament.

Players to watch

Cody Gakpo (Netherlands)

The Liverpool FC forward has been in top form for the Oranje. Gakpo is the leading joint-highest goalscorer at the Euro 2024 tournament with three strikes to his name and has also won two man-of-the-match awards so far. He is the most consistent goal scorer for his side having scored three out of the seven goals scored by the Netherlands so far at the championship.

Arda Guler (Turkey)

The Real Madrid wonderkid has shown the world what he is all about. Guler has been an impactful player for Turkey all throughout the tournament. He is one of just three teenagers to both score and provide an assist at a single Euros, after greats like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. The 19-year-old provided an assist to Merih Demiral for the winning goal against Austria.
