The Magpies will kick-start their pre-season 2025 in Singapore.
Newcastle United’s preseason trip to Asia will not include Alexander Isak in their roster. Newcastle claim that a “minor thigh issue” is keeping him out of the 10-day tour to South Korea and Singapore.
However, Isak’s exclusion also comes after his exit links from the club. After missing last weekend’s 4-0 preseason friendly game loss to Celtic, this will be Isak’s most recent absence from the squad.
Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, claimed that Isak’s absence from the Celtic match was his decision amid transfer rumours.
The Premier League champions had inquired about the Sweden international, making Alexander Isak a likely target for Liverpool this summer.
Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, whom Newcastle United also desired, has already been acquired by Liverpool for £79 million.

As part of their preseason training, the Magpies are currently en route to Singapore, where they will play Arsenal on Sunday. After that, they will go to South Korea to play Tottenham Hotspur and a K-League All-Star team.
Although Eddie Howe’s team is nearly fully fit, Alexander Isak is out due to a minor thigh ailment. After an injury layoff, Lewis Hall is back and could play in South Korea.
