Several Magpies players have returned to training.
Eddie Howe believes Newcastle United’s flying full-backs’ return will be crucial to the team’s success in the Premier League.
Lewis Hall, who has only started one league game this season, and Tino Livramento, who has been out since late September, have been absent for the Magpies for the greater portion of the season.
If it weren’t for his injury problems, Livramento would have been in Thomas Tuchel’s recent England team. Most likely, he would have lined up before Jarrell Quansah in last weekend’s final World Cup qualifier game in Albania.

However, both have returned to full training, with Hall playing for England Under-21s and Livramento working with Newcastle’s main team over the November international break.
“Livramento is very close. He has trained in the international break, which is great to see. He has been out a while – his injury was serious – we need to treat him right. He is in pretty good shape.”
After passing his concussion protocols, goalkeeper Nick Pope is fit for tomorrow’s match. Joelinton and Sandro Tonali are both in the squad despite having minor injury scares during the international break.
“Nick Pope has trained, and there are no problems there. Sandro has also reported back from international duty with no issues.”
However, as he struggles to fully heal from the hip injury that led him to withdraw from the England squad, Anthony Gordon is considered “touch and go” for the Manchester City match.
“He has worked very hard over the break. He is touch-and-go for the game, and we will make a decision on him today.”
Will Nick Pope play against Man City?
He could after training ahead of the game.
Who else has returned from injury?
Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall have returned to training.
Where do Newcastle stand in the table?
They are 14th in the Premier League table.
