The Brazilian suffered a fresh injury after returning from a lengthy time on the sidelines.
Neymar is currently intending to continue playing for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal despite the reports of the Saudi side wanting to sell the forward in January.
Since his move to the Middle East the forward has barely stepped on the pitch as last October he suffered a season-ending knee injury. He had to undergo surgery that kept him out for a year.
However, Neymar made a return in Al-Hilalās AFC Champions League game against Al Ain and played some minutes to build fitness but things became worse for the forward.
But soon Neymar suffered another setback. This time it was against Esteghlal F.C. in the same competition. The forward suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.
With his persistent injury problem, the Saudi side are frustrated with the forward. They are now looking to offload him in January and terminate his contract. He wasnāt registered to play the league matches at the start of the season.
However, the former Paris Saint-Germain player is hoping to stay at the club for more years and prove his mettle. The Brazilian feels that itās a great country to play football and is enjoying his life in Saudi.
āThe opportunity to play here and live in a country like this is very important for people. Thatās why I always say that I was very well received here. Iām very happy and Iām sure it will only get better. Iām sure other stars will come here. I believe that many will have the opportunity to come here, and I think that everyone should have the opportunity to experience what I have experienced here,ā Neymar said, as quoted on Goal.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal are not planning to register the player in January. They would rather sell him as his contract will expire in 2025. However, it remains to be seen what the club eventually does. Meanwhile, Neymar will hope to return before the end of the year and illustrate his talent.
