This time around, the FIFA World Cup will take place in Mexico, Canada and the USA. All of the nations have unveiled their final list of players to compete at the mega competition. But only one of 48 teams will go on to become the world champion.

The youngest manager at the upcoming edition of the flagship tournament will be Germany’s 38-year-old Julian Nagelsmann. The oldest is the 78-year-old Dick Advocaat of the Curacao national football team.

The Italian head coach took over the role as the Brazil national football team manager in May 2025. Since then, he has been building up the squad slowly and steadily. The 66-year-old Carlo Ancelotti has won multiple trophies during his managerial career.

He will now be aiming to clinch FIFA’s flagship trophy with the five-time world champions. A Selecao are set to face Morocco, Haiti and Scotland in the group stage.

4. Javier Aguirre

Mexico are one of the co-hosts for the FIFA World Cup 2026. They are going to have a slight edge at home. Leading El Tri on the grandest stage of them all, the 67-year-old Javier Aguirre will be coming in with some tactics.

He will be looking to help the Mexico national football team to come up with the top of the line performances. They are placed in Group A along with the likes of South Korea, Czechia and South Africa.

3. Marcelo Bielsa

Marcelo Bielsa has been managing the Uruguay national football team since 2023. He helped the nation get past the World Cup qualifiers. They will now be looking to come up with a strong fight at the mega competition.

They are in Group H. La Celeste will get to face the European champions, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde. It is not going to be an easy road for them.

The 70-year-old head coach will be keen to display top tactics.

2. Carlos Queiroz

After performing well during the CAF World Cup qualifiers, they have seen a sudden dip in form. The 73-year-old Carlos Queiroz will be looking to work on the tactics so that the Ghana national football team can have a fighting chance. The Black Stars will face Panama in their opening game of the flagship tournament.

They are going to face England and Croatia in their remaining group stage fixtures.

The Curacao national football team manager, 78-year-old Dick Advocaat, is all set to become the oldest manager at the FIFA World Cup. He helped the Blue Waves perform well during the WC qualifiers. He will be looking to achieve similar results on the grandest stage of them all.
