The 2026 FIFA World Cup is about to get underway. A total of 48 nations are set to battle for the prestigious title starting on June 11.

There is going to be a lot of the spotlight on the players from around the world. But the managers, at the touchline, will also play a crucial role. The expanded tournament is now going to have 104 matches in total.

There are three host nations this time around, including Mexico, Canada and the USA. The high-stakes final can be witnessed at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

For some of the players, this is going to be the final chance to represent their national teams on the world stage and for others, it is their debut.

Sebastián Beccacece was appointed as the head coach for the Ecuador national football team in 2024. La Tri even took down the world champions, Argentina, back in 2025 and recently defeated Saudi Arabia in a friendly encounter. The 45-year-old will now be eager to make a proper strategy heading into the FIFA World Cup 2026.

3. Pape Thiaw

Pape Thiaw is one of the youngest managers at the upcoming edition of the mega competition. He recently led the Senegal national football team to the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final that ended controversially. The 45-year-old is going to lead the Lions of Teranga in Group I.

They will battle France, Norway and Iraq in what will be a very tough group stage.

2. Emerse Fae

Emerse Fae has been leading the Ivory Coast national football team since 2024. He recently produced some decent results for his side in the AFCON. The 42-year-old will be looking for some positive outcomes in the upcoming edition of FIFA’s flagship tournament.

The Elephants are in Group E along with the likes of Germany, Ecuador and Curacao. Fae will be keen to come up with top tactics on the world stage.

1. Julian Nagelsmann

The 38-year-old Julian Nagelsmann will be the youngest manager at the FIFA World Cup 2026. He has been leading the Germany national football team since 2023. The DFB Team are performing well under Nagelsmann.

They are on an eight-match undefeated run at the moment. They will be looking to replicate their performances on the grandest stage of them all.
