Kylian Mbappe is likely to join Madrid in the summer

Kylian Mbappe is anticipated to depart Paris Saint-Germain during the summer. He told President Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he would be leaving at the end of the current campaign when his contract expired. There isn’t an official statement, though. Even if Luís Enrique has said time and time again that PSG will “have to get used to playing without Mbappé, sooner or later,” there is still some uncertainty.

During an interview with reporters on Friday, Mbappé had the opportunity to address his future, but he chose not to make a statement. In an interview with Telefoot on Sunday, his international teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni appeared to allude to a potential transfer to Real Madrid.

“People will know [my situation]. I’ll arrive at the Euros with peace of mind. I’m already calm. It’s not even a topic at the club (PSG) any more, no one talks to me about it. There are no worries there. I’ll go to the Euros with peace of mind and with the certainty of doing great things,” said the France captain.

But Mbappé downplayed the significance of the uncertainty surrounding his future in an interview with Téléfoot, stating that things will be clearer before this summer’s Euros in Germany.

One of the daring individuals to opine on the reason for Kylian Mbappé’s unannounced future is RMC Sport pundit Jerome Rothen, a former PSG player.

The Champions League quarterfinals between Real Madrid and Manchester City will begin on April 9 at 21:00, but they haven’t started yet. Luis Enrique’s PSG will play Xavi Hernández’s Barcelona the next day.

On April 16 and 17, both matches’ second legs will take place. We will be able to determine the validity of Rothen’s theory if, following those dates, one of the two teams is eliminated. If not, we could have to wait until the final (June 1) or the semi-finals (April 30 and May 7).

Because of the player’s continued secrecy, it is still unclear what will take place to him once his official deal with Paris Saint-Germain ends in June 2024.

According to reports, he is being courted by a number of clubs, including Premier League teams; nevertheless, he has already decided where he will play next and it will most likely not be Arsenal.
