Enner Valencia is Ecuador’s all-time leading scorer in the FIFA World Cup after scoring 6 goals. He also scored the opening goal of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Qatar, etching his name in golden letters.

Before making a move to Pachuca in Liga MX, he had plied his trade with top European clubs in the world, like West Ham United, Everton and Fenerbahçe. The Ecuadorian captain must step up and lead his side to victory in an all-important game against Curaçao.

From training on muddy fields with waterlogged balls to marshalling his country’s defence in the FIFA World Cup, Pacho has come a long way. He is coming after a highly productive season with PSG and also won back-to-back Champions League titles under the tutelage of Luis Enrique.

One of the few naturally left-footed centre-backs, Pacho also has a tall aerial presence and is nothing short of a nightmare for opposition strikers.
