Portugal at UEFA Euro 2024: Full squad, preview, match schedule, venue, telecast info
Cristiano Ronaldo will hope to lead his nation to the second Euro title.
Portugal had a perfect record in the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, winning all ten games. Overall, they scored the most goals (36) and conceded the fewest (two), maintaining nine clean sheets.
Though they benefited from a favourable draw, scoring 21 goals against Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, Roberto Martinez’s tenure following Fernando Santos’ disappointing World Cup 2022 couldn’t have started better.
With numerous attacking options and the distinction of being the only country to finish qualification unbeaten, Portugal are undoubtedly one of the best teams to play in Germany. As they did eight years ago, they have high expectations of winning the European Championship.
Cristiano Ronaldo, with 128 goals in 204 official games, leads men’s international football in goals scored. He will be participating in his sixth Euro, having won the tournament in 2016 and reached the final in 2004.
