The pitch’s surface is designed to reward agile, quick passing over physical play, which is an approach followed by Fabio Cannavaro’s Uzbekistan. A team prioritising a quick passing game and high possession would be able to get a better grasp of the pitch. Thus, if we talk about appeasement, Portugal might have an upper hand over its Central Asian rivals.

The stadium also features a retractable roof, which is likely to be closed throughout the game to control the Houston heat. With air conditioning and intense lighting, the stadium’s indoor weather could easily be controlled.
