The Y-3 jersey will prevent heat and observe their sweat in games
On and off the field, two titans come together once more as Adidas Y-3 and Real Madrid introduce their joint matchwear collection. Adidas debuted a collaboration travel collection earlier this year.
The new premium series from Y-3 and Real Madrid combines the best sport and design elegantly and traditionally. The artistic concept revolves around a characteristic rose motif that draws influence from the early years of Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto’s partnership when roses were the go-to symbol and eventually became the well-known fashion designer’s trademark.
The purple fourth kit for the Real Madrid men’s and women’s teams is made with moisture-wicking technologies to keep players sweat-free while competing on the largest platform and is the collection’s standout piece.
Purple is a crucial hue in Real Madrid’s DNA, and the team’s colours combine story and identity in the Matchwear uniform. Apart from the fourth uniform, the set includes two custodian kits (one each in orange and black) and a white pre-match outfit consisting of a top, shorts and an anthem jacket.
From the field to the stands, Y-3 has also put together an impressive assortment of fan gear, such as a T-shirt, hoodie, cross-body bag, cap and scarf, that flawlessly capture the brand’s expertise.

Adidas and Y-3 plan to release a limited-edition Predator boot and keeper gloves in conjunction with the collection. An extension of the advertisement, which was photographed by Gabriel Moses, a London-based photographer, is contributing to the collection’s realisation. Naomie Feller, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Misa Rodríguez are among the modern Real Madrid luminaries featured in the dramatic images that retell the story of an unrivalled sporting past.
But the limited-edition collaboration Predator has to be the icing on the cake for Y-3’s Real Madrid collection. The boot, which is commemorating its 30th anniversary this year, has Yohji’s distinctive design and a monochromatic reinterpretation of the renowned studded silhouette.
When you thought the fashion world’s infatuation with football had peaked, Y-3 and Real Madrid produce what may be their greatest on-field partnership to date.
