The second leg of the 2019-2020 UCL RO16 match between Manchester City and Real Madrid started at an aggregate of 2:1. The advantage was lying with Manchester City since it was at their home stadium.

This time it was Manchester City who took the lead early on with Raheem Sterling scoring in the 9th minute. Karim Benzema pulled back a goal for Real Madrid scoring a goal in the 28th minute. The first leg of the UCL campaign ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. The second leg was completely Manchester City dominating Real Madrid as they beat them 4-0. Moreover, Real Madrid failed to capitalise on their chances as Manchester City ran rampant with Bernardo Silva being their main threat in that match. The Portugese scored two brilliant goals and created various chances as well. Eventually, Manchester City went on to win the final against Inter Milan.

2. Manchester City 4-3 Real Madrid (2021-2022 UCL Semi-finals First Leg)

The 2021-2022 UCL campaign was going well for Manchester City until they faced Real Madrid. Real Madrid on the other hand turned both legs against PSG and Chelsea as Karim Benzema scored consecutive hat-tricks against.

The first leg ended 4-3 for Manchester City with Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva on the score sheet. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr were on the scoresheet as the Frenchman scored a panenka penalty in the 88th minute to make the score 4-3 for the night.

The second leg of the 2021-2022 UCL Semi-finals was going well for Manchester City as Mahrez scored their first goal in the 73rd minute. However, Real Madrid on the other hand had different plans in mind as the match eventually ended 6-5 for Real Madrid.

Rodrygo Goes was the key player for Real Madrid as he scored a brace in the 90th minute and 91st minute. Luka Modric assisted Rodrygo with a beautiful trivela assist. At this point, the aggregate was 5-5 on the night. Manchester City were shook and in the 95th minute, Benzema won a penalty and scored it to make the aggregate 6-5.
