Lionel Messi's teammate Sergio Busquets plays down Inter Miami's chances in FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Even with Lionel Messi on their team, Sergio Busquets acknowledges that Inter Miami are “not the level to compete” for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title.

This summer, the Herons will participate in FIFA’s enlarged version of the Club World Cup in the United States. Messi’s presence makes them clearly appealing to fans around North America, and they have accepted an exclusive invitation to that tournament.

The Club World Cup-winning Barcelona legend has told DAZN: “It’s clear that we’re not at the level to compete in the Club World Cup. But we’ll try to compete in the group, take it game by game, fight, and hopefully move on to the next round, although it’s going to be tough.”
