The youngster could be signed as Casemiro’s replacement for next season
Joao Neves, Benfica wonderkid, is rumoured to be the subject of an unbelievable £100 million offer from Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Neves has been strongly connected to United in recent months, and with each game he plays for Benfica, the public’s interest in him seems to be growing.
Throughout the summer transfer window, the Red Devils may look to bolster their midfield. It would be highly likely that the Portuguese would take Casemiro’s place if he were to depart.
The Saudi Pro League is making advances for him, and INEOS is keen to remove his substantial salary from the team’s books.Even if he is still connected to the Red Devils, the talented Neves was questioned about his prospects last month. He declined to give Benfica a long-term commitment to his services. The Sunday Mirror claims that Ratcliffe is eager to finalise a deal for the Portuguese international and needs Neves at Old Trafford.
