Slovenia squad for World Cup qualifiers against Sweden & Switzerland; Benjamin Sesko included

The Falcons will face Sweden and Switzerland in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this September.
Slovenia’s head coach, Matjaž Kek, has announced the national team squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. They will soon begin their bid to reach the competition next year.
Manchester United new signing, Benjamin Sesko, has received a call-up ahead of the qualifiers. Slovenia squad for the September international break are set to face Sweden at home on 5th September before facing Switzerland away on 8th.

They have been drawn in a decent group, Group B, which consists of the likes of Sweden, Switzerland, and Kosovo.
They will have a good chance of qualifying for the tournament next year as they boast a top squad that work their way to ease past the teams in their group. However, Sweden and Switzerland will be a big challenge that they will have to overcome.
Slovenia will be hoping to make it to the tournament for the first time since 2010. The national team have good odds of making it out of the Group, but certainly they will face competition. They will have to punch above their weight.
