Manchester City’s Rodri is most likely to rock the captain’s armband for the Spain national football team at the upcoming edition of FIFA’s flagship tournament. With 61 appearances, the 29-year-old is the most experienced player for La Roja’s final 26-man squad.

Rodri has only scored one goal for his club this season, but has played an important role in controlling the ball well in the midfield. Alongside Pedri and Fabian Ruiz in the midfield, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner is going to be a constant roadblock for the opponents.

The Luis de la Fuente-led side are placed in Group H. There, they will get to face Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde. With a star-studded lineup, La Roja are most likely to get through the group stage.

They are also one of the favourites to win the prestigious title. The Euro 2024 winners will surely make things tougher for other nations.
