Sweden's jersey numbers for FIFA World Cup 2026 revealed

Graham Potter will lead them in the World Cup next month.
After a disappointing qualifying campaign, Sweden pulled off what some called a “great escape,” securing their spot at the FIFA World Cup 2026 via the UEFA European play-offs.
Following the appointment of Graham Potter, the Swedes struggled to pick up wins in the qualifying games. But during the playoffs, Potter’s side managed to cruise to wins and secure a place in the competition in a hard-fought way.
This team was under intense pressure to start a comeback after missing the most recent football World Cup (2022) in Qatar. It appeared they would miss out on another World Cup.
That dream nearly eluded them before Graham Potter stabilised the ship in the last stages and led them to qualification within five months of his hiring.
Sweden will play three-time runners-up the Netherlands, Asian powerhouse Japan, and African country Tunisia in Group F of their 13th World Cup this summer in North America.
Viktor Gyökeres, a striker who helped Sweden qualify in the UEFA play-off semifinals and final, is predicted to steal the show.
Aside from him, Sweden’s youthful attacking midfielders Anthony Elanga and Benjamin Nygren are incredibly talented. Meanwhile, their defence is anchored by seasoned captain Victor Lindelöf.
