List of top England goalscorers in current Euro 2024 squad

Harry Kane could win the Golden Boot in Euro 2024.
Since the inaugural European Championship in 1960, when five players shared first place, the competition has acknowledged individual best scorers. The record number of goals is nine by Michel Platini from 1984. Antoine Griezmann, also a Frenchman, is in second place with six goals from the 2016 European Championship.
There isn’t any justification for the Three Lions’ failure to win the Euros given their elite player pool. Although England have a history of entering tournaments with exaggerated optimism and demands, this time the anticipation is well-founded. There should be just one goal for the England team when they travel to Germany: returning home with the trophy.
In the most recent European Championship, Gareth Southgate’s England was one penalty away from ending fifty-five years of suffering, but they have only grown stronger since that heartbreaking 2020 Euro final loss to Italy at Wembley. They performed brilliantly in the 2022 World Cup, losing to France by the narrowest of margins and they have become used to making it far in competitions—something that was unimaginable a few years ago.
Although Jude Bellingham has won over the world’s most discerning supporters and become Real Madrid’s most valuable player, Harry Kane is even more productive. Kane has been setting several scoring records while playing for Bayern Munich in Germany.
In the meantime, Ollie Watkins and other periphery players are enjoying incredible seasons, Bukayo Saka has emerged as Arsenal’s star.
