The Three Lions ended Euro 2020 as the runners-up.

Indeed, Gareth Southgate’s England are one of the favourites going into Euro 2024, in part because of their strong recent tournament results and the abundance of attacking quality the Three Lions possess.

In Germany, they have to get past a group that includes the perennial “dark horses” Serbia, the Euro 2020 semifinalists Denmark and Slovenia, who had their best-ever qualifying effort.

The Three Lions captain Harry Kane will be under high pressure to deliver. The Bayern Munich forward scored or assisted in all seven of his starts during the qualifying round, totalling 10 goals (eight goals and two assists). In fact, in his last 16 starts in Euro qualifiers, Kane has contributed directly to a minimum of one goal per match (20 goals and eight assists).

However, after the somewhat depressing loss in the 2022 World Cup in the quarterfinals, England supporters are now desperate for triumph. On June 16, England will kick off their campaign against Serbia.
