The Spanish centre-back has been on the radar of many European clubs.

Five Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in Bournemouth and Spain centre-back Dean Huijsen ahead of the summer transfer window, reports David Ornstein.

As Andoni Iraola’s team fights for a European position, the Spaniard, who cost £12.6 million to join the Cherries from Juventus last summer, has excelled in his first season in England and is among the most talented centre-back in the league.

Due to a release clause in his contract, the 19-year-old will only cost £50 million, and several of the top teams in Europe are already expressing interest. Dean Huijsen’s agent has met with representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham, according to The Athletic.

According to the source, the player is anticipated to sign with another Premier League team this summer, with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea leading the battle.

Following an outstanding debut season in English football, the 19-year-old has become one of Europe’s most sought-after centre-backs. Dean Huijsen earned his senior debut for Spain during the international break last month and has been a vital component of Bournemouth’s push for European qualifying.

“One of my close friends sent me a story about Real Madrid… he told me: go to Madrid,” Dean Huijsen told Chiringuito.

“It’s a big club. Every player wants to play in the biggest possible.”

Carlo Ancelotti’s team isn’t reportedly “actively working” on a deal to sign the centre-back despite their interest and their need for a defender for next season.

In the upcoming transfer window, Madrid must bolster their defense. Defenders David Alaba and Éder Militão have suffered from ACL injuries this season. Raúl Asencio, an academy product, has been Ancelotti’s go-to player to play with Antonio Rüdiger.

Born in Amsterdam but raised in Marbella, Huijsen made his professional debut in Spain last month. The player has been regularly putting up brilliant performances this campaign and it has alerted many big clubs to snatch the player given his decent release clause.
