The visitors have almost double the points of their opponents.

The Serie A might have become one of the most competitive leagues in the recent past. Long gone are the days of Juventus supremacy. Take this season for instance, Napoli are at the helm of things after 13 games and up next they travel to face a Torino side stuck in the mid-table just five points above the relegation spot.

We don’t say, just yet, if they’d get relegated, but most certainly the home team cannot afford to give up opportunities. However, injury to their guy up front, Duvan Zapata, has not come kindly for the Bulls and they have struggled to score because of that. Now, an in-form Napoli don’t bring any respite at all.

Kick-off

Sunday, December 1, 2 PM UK (7:30 PM IST)

Location: Olimpico di Torino

Form

Torino (in the Serie A): W-L-L-L-D

Napoli (in the Serie A): W-W-L-D-W

Players to watch

Che Adams (Torino)

From England to Italy, Adams did not forget one thing in that transition, that is, his scoring form. Zapata’s injury came in untimely. However, that’s when the Scottish international said: “I am here.” Three goals and an assist is far from top-tier, but it has kept the Bulls moving.

Romelu Lukaku (Napoli)

Napoli want the Scudetto back. So, we can understand why they went and got Lukaku (he also wants his hands on it again!). The Belgian is hitting all the right marks so far as he has scored five goals and provided four assists as the team’s talisman.

Match facts

  • Torino have conceded 19 goals in 13 games already
  • Gli Azzurri have only lost twice so far this season
  • The visitors have scored 20 goals already this season

Injury & team news

Torino’s attacking duo of Duvan Zapata and Che Adams started the season strong but now face injury woes, with Zapata sidelined due to an ACL injury. Perr Schuurs and Ivan Ilic also remain out, leaving the hosts with limited options in defence and midfield.

Napoli, meanwhile, arrive with a fully fit squad and no suspension concerns. With a settled lineup featuring their Scudetto-winning core, the visitors are likely to field an unchanged eleven for the trip to Turin.

Head-to-head

Games: 30

Torino: 5

Napoli: 17

Draws: 8

Predicted lineups

Torino (3-5-2

Milinkovic-Savic; Masina, Koko, Valukevich; Lazaro, Vlasic, Ricci, Gineitis, Pedersen; Sanabria, Adams

Match prediction

Torino will be playing on home turf, but with the form and momentum Napoli are in, it doesn’t really matter home or away for them. We predict a victory for the away side.
