Tottenham vs AS Roma Prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium stadium is set to light up for the Europa League encounter.
The European nights are back. It’s a Europa League thriller in North London as in-form Tottenham prepare to take on a Roma side struggling to get out of 1st gear.
Spurs continue to keep fans guessing with their unpredictable form. Fresh off a stunning 4-0 demolition of Manchester City at the Etihad, they have alternated between Ws and Ls in their last seven league games, placing them sixth in the Premier League. Meanwhile, their unbeaten run was botched by Galatasaray last time out with a 3-2 win. Despite this, the Lillywhites sit seventh in the league phase.
But they can solidify their automatic qualification spot after a win against Roma, who have been nothing short of chaotic. After sacking two head coaches in quick succession, Claudio Ranieri is back for a third stint. However, his return hasn’t been smooth, with a 1-0 loss to Napoli marking their third consecutive Serie A defeat.
Currently languishing in 12th domestically, Roma’s Europa League campaign isn’t faring much better, with just one win and a 20th-place ranking in the league phase. It might be too little too late to push for a charge. But if it is one then it must start from this game for the Yellow and Reds.
Kick-off
Thursday, 28th November, 8 PM UK
Friday, 29th November, 1:30 AM IST
Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Form
Tottenham (in the UEL): W-W-W-L
Roma (in the UEL): D-L-W-D
Players to watch
Dominic Solanke (Spurs)
The club’s record-signing Solanke might be one of the most under-the-radar players of the season so far. Sure, his six goals and three assists in just 16 games across all competitions do not really scream “SHOWSTOPPER”. But he has been more than just a goal-getter for the team. More importantly, Solanke has shown glimpses that he can fill in Harry Kane‘s void up front.
Artem Dovbyk (Roma)
Artem Dovbyk snagged the Pichichi Trophy last season as LaLiga’s top scorer. Now, that’s good, but what’s even better was he became the first player to win it outside of the Madrid teams and Barcelona since ’08. However, at Roma, he’s still finding his feet, with just six goals so far. That said, if Roma hit the back of the net, there’s a good chance it’s Dovbyk—his knack for pouncing on loose balls in the box makes it hard to miss.
Match facts
- Roma have scored thrice in the UEL so far while conceding the same amount of goals as well

Injury and team news
Tottenham will be without Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, leaving Radu Drăgușin and Ben Davies to anchor the defence once again. Djed Spence is unavailable due to UEFA squad restrictions. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to feature in midfield, with Richarlison, sidelined. Yves Bissouma must tread carefully to avoid suspension for the next round.
For Roma, Claudio Ranieri might stick with a back four after Sunday’s match against Napoli. Paulo Dybala could make the starting lineup, though Mario Hermoso, Alexis Saelemaekers, and Eldor Shomurodov remain injured.
