The Eagles of Carthage face Sweden in a Group F clash in Guadalupe.

Tunisia will begin their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with a clash against Sweden on June 14, 2026. The North African side are making their third consecutive appearance in the flagship tournament and will look to qualify from the group stage for the first time in history.

The Eagles of Carthage secured their place in the expanded North American edition with a brilliant CAF qualifying campaign, where they did not concede a single goal. They won nine out of their 10 matches.

However, following their Round of 16 exit from the AFCON 2025, they lost to Austria (1-0) and Belgium (5-0) in warm-up friendlies. Drawn in a tough group also containing Japan and the Netherlands, head coach Sabri Lamouchi will hope that his side can make a positive start to their World Cup campaign.
