The Oranje have secure a round of 32 spot.

The Tunisia national football team took on the Netherlands national football team for their third group stage outing. This 2026 FIFA World Cup clash took place at the Kansas City Stadium.

The Eagles of Carthage have now been officially knocked out of the ongoing campaign of the mega competition. They had a chance to make a comeback, but failed to capitalise on that and have dropped three points in their final group stage clash against the Dutch.

The Netherlands national football team controlled the game from the start and this helped them secure a 3-1 win in the end. With this win, Ronald Koeman’s men have secured a direct berth in the round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Five important things we learned from this match:

1. Brian Brobbey continues his fiery form

Brian Brobbey has now scored his third goal in the FIFA World Cup 2026 for the Netherlands national football team. He found the net in the seventh minute and doubled the lead for his side. His positive run of form is going to play an important role for the Oranje in the knockout stage of the flagship tournament.

2. Hazem Mastouri’s lifeline

Just at the start of the second half, Hazem Mastouri scored an amazing goal for the Tunisia national football team. This was a perfect opportunity for them to control the tempo and completely botched the chance. Due to their poor defence, they conceded their third goal in the second half. The goal by Mastouri was not enough and the Eagles of Carthage are going home.

3. Netherlands controlled the tempo

From the start till the end, it looked like a one-sided affair. The Netherlands national football team found the net twice in just under 10 minutes into the game. It piled up pressure on Tunisia. They had a hope after Hazem Mastouri’s goal, but the Oranje did not let them use it to their advantage. They controlled the ball really well and avoided giving many chances to their opponents.

4. Tunisia not ready for the world stage

After their three consecutive losses in the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Hervé Renard-led side are headed back home. They failed to control the tempo in all of their games and hence were under pressure in all of them. The Tunisia national football team will be looking to rebuild and make a comeback next time around.

5. Round of 32 bound

The Ronald Koeman-led side have now secured a direct qualification spot for the round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup 2026. After a draw against Japan in their opening game. They worked on their mistakes and secured back-to-back wins in their last two group stage matches. They will be happy with their efforts, but the competition is only going to get tougher for them.

Which teams from Group F have secured direct qualification for round of 32 in FIFA World Cup 2026?

Netherlands and Japan.
