The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Rosenborg in last friendly.

After the culmination of the 2023-24 season with an FA Cup trophy in hand, Manchester United have begun their pre-season battles. The club decided to back their Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, who was seemingly under fire after a disastrous Premier League campaign last season. Under Ten Hag, United could only manage to finish the 2023-24 league season in eighth place, missing out on European football as one must have thought.

The Red Devils bought their A-game when they met Manchester City at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final, which also happened to be their final competitive clash for the 2023-24 season. Against all odds and the might of the City squad, Ten Hag and Co. left everyone bemused as they won 2-1. This also guaranteed them a berth in the expanded version of the UEFA Europa League for the 2024-25 season.

Amidst making moves in the summer transfer window, United are also prepping themselves by playing some pre-season games. The first one was against Rosenborg, a Norwegian football club, which they lost 1-0. The second pre-season clash is set up for today against Rangers, who finished as runners-up in the Scottish Premiership last season.

Talking about Rangers, they too suffered an early setback in light of preparation for the new season. Before suffering a 2-1 defeat in their first pre-season game against AFC Ajax, the Scottish side were also involved in domestic cup finals like Manchester United. But they didn’t end their final in all smiles. Adam Idah scored in the 90-minute mark to help Celtic snatch the Scottish Cup from Rangers after winning 1-0.

As we all know by now, United have splashed a good amount of cash for the signing of Leny Yoro from LOSC Lille this summer. The 18-year-old did partake in the training session today. Yoro could end up wearing the Red Devils kit in this game today. So, how to watch this thriller of a game?

The game is scheduled to kick off in the UK at 4 pm BST (8:30 pm IST). The 20 July pre-season game can be streamed live in the UK and from around the globe using Rangers TV and MUTV.
