Mbappe could wear No 10 next season

At last, Kylian Mbappe said that he is planning on departing Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign. However, he has not yet disclosed that Real Madrid will be his next stop.

In all honesty, it’s no knowledge that Mbappe will sign a free transfer to Real Madrid in the summer, but up until now, he has just announced his departure from PSG without providing an explanation for his next move.

Both PSG and Real Madrid, the finalists in the Coupe de France and the Champions League, still have games left in their seasons even though they have been officially crowned champions of their respective leagues. Mbappe has been careful to stay focused on that, even if it seems like everyone knows exactly what he wants.

Furthermore, Real Madrid may wait to make an announcement about his coming until after the Champions League final, where they will take on the Borussia Dortmund team that eliminated Mbappe’s PSG in the semifinals, according to The Athletic.

It has long been anticipated, though, that Mbappe’s situation will be resolved prior to Euro 2024. Anticipate an announcement in the first part of June, as that begins on June 14, 13 days following the Champions League final.

When Mbappe’s shirt goes on sale, it’s expected to be a best-seller as Real Madrid supporters excitedly await the arrival of their newest Galactico. Which number, though, will be on his back?

Mbappe might accept a new jersey number.

Mbappe presently wears the number seven jersey for PSG, but Vinicius Junior currently owns it for Real Madrid and he isn’t planning on selling it anytime soon.

The number 10 that Mbappe frequently wears for France is a possible substitute, but Luka Modric, another player in Madrid, presently has it.

The 38-year-old Modric’s deal with Los Blancos is about to expire. Having managed to make 42 appearances this season, he might sign a short-term renewal or depart on a free transfer.

It appears clear that Mbappe will take over as Real Madrid’s new number 10 if Modric departs. But if he stays, according to AS, Mbappe might replace Karim Benzema in the No. 9 shirt, which has been empty since the player’s departure from Al-Ittihad last year.

Centre-forwards are typically assigned to the no. 9 position, which Mbappe will most likely occupy at the Bernabeu. He has played both a striker and a left-wing for PSG this season, and he might continue to do so for Carlo Ancelotti’s team. However, as previously mentioned, Benzema’s exit from PSG last year likely created more of a void up front than on the flank, where Vinicius has been playing well.
