Full field is set and here is how the groups shape up.

Four European teams—Sweden, Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and the Czech Republic— have now qualified through UEFA’s play-offs for the final six berths, which were determined in March for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Iraq and the Democratic Republic of the Congo won the remaining two berths after qualifying through the inter-confederation play-offs. Iraq have returned to football’s main event for the first time in forty years after defeating Bolivia in a final, while DR Congo ended a 52-year wait by defeating Jamaica.

Curacao, the Caribbean island that became the smallest country to qualify for a World Cup, were among those who had already reserved their spot before the play-offs.

Curacao will compete in the tournament, which takes place in three host countries—Canada, Mexico, and the United States—from June 11 to July 19. With 48 countries participating—16 more than in Qatar 2022—it will be the largest yet.

One of the hardest groups will be Group A, which also includes Mexico, South Korea, and the Czech Republic.

Together with Australia, Paraguay, Turkey and the USA, they make group D. Making it out of a group that includes Switzerland, Qatar, and Bosnia is a difficult job for Canada as well.

Here’s the list of 48 nations who have qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026:
