Which stadiums will host Euro & Copa America 2024 finals?

With Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024 approaching their grand finale showdown, the tournaments in Germany and the United States, respectively, this summer have proven to be a spectacular watch for worldwide football fans owing to their high-octane drama, underdog stories, and unbelievable moments.

In Euro 2024, a total of ten different venues have been used throughout the tournament: Olympiastadion (Berlin), RheinEnergieStadion (Cologne), Signal Iduna Park (Dortmund), Merkur Spiel-Arena (Dusseldorf), Waldstadion (Frankfurt), Arena AufSchalke (Gelsenkirchen), Volksparkstadion (Hamburg), Red Bull Arena (Leipzig), Allianz Arena (Munich), MHPArena (Stuttgart).

After exciting group stage and knockout round action, Spain is set to lock horns with England at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 15 for the grand finale of Euro 2024.

Of the above-mentioned 10 stadiums, the Olympiastadion in Berlin was officially selected as the host stadium for the ultimate final. In this tournament, five matches have been played so far at the Olympiastadion. Three Group Stage including Spain vs. Croatia (Group B); Poland vs. Austria (Group D), Netherlands vs. Austria (Group D); Round of 16: Switzerland vs. Italy and Quarter-finals: Netherlands vs. Turkey.

Spain had finished the group stage phase as Group B table-toppers, beating the likes of defending champions Italy, Croatia, and Albania in the process, with an impeccable record of three wins, three clean sheets, nine points, and five goals scored.

During the decisive knockout stages, Spain recorded a convincing 4-1 comeback win against tournament debutants Georgia in the round of 16. This was followed by a thrilling 2-1 win against hosts Germany in extra time, courtesy of super sub Mikel Merino’s last-ditch winner, in an enthralling quarterfinal clash between the two top nations. In the semifinal stage, La Roja toppled France to complete a 2-1 comeback win courtesy of quick-fire goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo to book their place in the final.

On the other hand, England had finished the group stage phase as Group C table-toppers, beating the likes of Serbia and getting draws against Denmark and Slovenia in the process, with an unbeaten record of one win, two draws, two clean sheets, five points, two goals scored, and just a single goal conceded.

During the decisive knockout stages, England narrowly edged past underdogs Slovakia in the round of 16 by registering a 2-1 comeback win courtesy of crucial goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. This was followed by a thrilling 1-1 (5-3) penalty shootout win against dark horse Switzerland in a nerve-wracking quarterfinal contest.

In the semifinal stage, the Three Lions toppled the Netherlands to complete a 2-1 comeback win, all thanks to super sub Ollie Watkins’ last-minute winner to book their place in the final.

Copa America 2024 final

In the case of Copa America 2024, a total of 14 different venues have been used throughout the tournament: Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas, Nevada), AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas), Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, North Carolina), Children’s Mercy Park (Kansas City, Kansas), Exploria Stadium (Orlando, Florida), GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City, Missouri), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, Florida), Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, California), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Georgia), MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey), NRG Stadium (Houston, Texas), Q2 Stadium (Austin, Texas), SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, California), State Farm Stadium (Glendale, Arizona).

After exciting group stage and knockout round action, Argentina is set to lock horns with Colombia at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida on July 15 for the grand finale of Copa America 2024.

Of the above-mentioned 14 stadiums, the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida was officially selected as the host stadium for the ultimate final. In this tournament, two matches have been played so far at the Hard Rock Stadium. The two matches being the Group Stage matches: Argentina vs. Peru (Group A); Uruguay vs. Panama (Group C).

Argentina had finished the group stage phase as Group A table-toppers, beating the likes of Canada, Chile, and Peru in the process, with an impeccable record of three wins, three clean sheets, nine points, and five goals scored.

During the decisive knockout rounds, Argentina emerged victorious against a resilient Ecuador in the quarterfinals after a nerve-wracking penalty shootout win (4-2). After the game had finished 1-1 at the end of regulation time, Argentina’s 2022 World Cup hero Emiliano Martinez delivered the goods yet again during the penalty shootouts with his two consecutive penalty saves, as La Albiceleste survived a major scare.

In the semifinal stage, Lionel Scaloni’s side registered a solid 2-0 win against Canada courtesy of goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi in either half to book their place in yet another Copa America final.

On the other hand, Colombia had finished the group stage phase as Group D table-toppers, beating the likes of Costa Rica and Paraguay, and registering a draw against Brazil in the process, with an unbeaten record of two wins, one draw, seven points, six goals scored, and just two goals conceded.

During the decisive knockout rounds, Nestor Lorenzo’s side dismantled a hapless Panama 5-0 to record a dominating win in the quarterfinals. In the semifinal stage, 10-man Colombia narrowly edged past Uruguay as they beat them 1-0 courtesy of Jefferson Lerma’s first-half winner to book their place in a Copa America final for the first time in 23 years.
