Which team will win UEFA Champions League 2024-25?

The Reds have the most chance of winning the trophy this season.
The UEFA Champions League has returned this weekend, with many mouthwatering clashes set to take place. The competition has been expanded from 32 to 36 teams.
Each club are scheduled to play eight matches, two more than previously, and be ranked on a single 36-team table during the league phase, which supplanted the old group stage of four teams in eight divisions.
Teams ranked ninth to twenty-fourth will compete in the new Champions League play-off round for the opportunity to join the top teams in the coveted knockout round. A place in the top eight guarantees instant qualification for the round of sixteen.
Real Madrid entered the revamped competition as defending champions. The 15-time winners triumphed in two of the last three seasons and have now added Kylian Mbappé to their ranks too.
OPTA prediction for 2024-25 Champions League winners
Opta’s revised prediction has seen Liverpool as the favourites to win the Champions League, who boast a 16% chance of lifting the trophy. Second are Manchester City with 15%, who are currently enduring a dismal time following five defeats in a row. They remain second despite their poor form.
Inter Milan are third with a 14% chance. Inter have been impressive this season and given they reached the final of the 2022-23 season will hope to emulate a similar performance this term as well.
Hansi Flick’s Barcelona are fourth with 9% of winning the trophy. The Catalan club have been excellent under the German manager but their recent performance has seen them fail to win two games. Now they will return to the competition and will hope to bounce back.
Fifth are Real Madrid with a 7% chance, who have endured a dismal run in the competition and are lying in mid-table (18th place). They will have to step up their performance if they are to see any chances of getting a direct qualification in the round of 16.
After Los Blancos, Sporting CP are next with a 7% chance. Now with the exit of Ruben Amorim, it will be interesting to see how they fare under their new manager. Arsenal are next with a 6% chance. They have not put in a convincing performance and have struggled to eke out results. The Gunners will have to regroup if they are to win the trophy.
The last three are Atalanta with a 5% chance, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen boast the same % chance (5). It will be interesting to see if any of the Bundesliga clubs will be able to defy the odds and go on to win the silverware.
