On 15 August, Everton struck a deal with Charlton Athletic to sign highly talented player Reuben Gokah on a long-term contract.

The 2009-born defender is the most recent product of Charlton’s robust production line, which has produced players like Nick Pope, Joe Gomez, Ezri Konsa, and former Toffee player Ademola Lookman.
Gokah has not represented the senior team, but his efforts have certainly drawn the attention of David Moyes’ side, who were quick to strike a deal with the club.
Gokah is seen as a prospect deserving of being included in Everton’s renewed effort to find bright young players from throughout the nation. The youngster has already represented England at the U15 and U16 levels.

At such a young age, he possesses great maturity on the ball. The thing that stands out about him is his ability to play from the back. He is excellent in build-up play and uses his physicality to intimidate attackers.
He is also great in aerials. In the near future, he can be a key for Moyes in set-pieces due to his ability to beat opponents with his athletic qualities and quickness.

Gokah started with the under-18 team this season; thus, it is unlikely that he will be included in Moyes’ roster yet.
There will probably be chances for him to play for the Premier League 2 under-21 team if he grows and advances there.
Despite having played for England’s youth teams, Gokah, a centre defender, did not make even a senior appearance for the recently promoted Championship squad, Charlton Athletic.
