Meanwhile, Senegal are also coming into the summer competition with a dominant performance. They secured direct qualification after finishing undefeated at the top of Group B in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) qualifiers. They finished as the group leaders over DR Congo, Sudan, Togo, Mauritania, and South Sudan.
They have won two out of their last five matches across all competitions. Interestingly, France are winless against Senegal because the teams have met only once, and the clash was topped by the Lions of Teranga.
