The dispute between captain Federico Valverde and important midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni on Thursday has dominated Real Madrid’s week. Valverde had to go to the hospital after the incident, and a “traumatic brain injury” may keep him out for the next two weeks.
Similar to Barcelona, Real Madrid have failed in the UEFA Champions League this season. In LaLiga, they have just lost too many points in comparison to Barca. As of right now, they are 11 points out of the top spot, and it appears they are headed for second place.

Since then, Tchouameni has resumed training. Arbeloa has stated that the midfield player will be fit to play against Barcelona in today’s Clásico:
“Aurelien Tchouameni will be in the squad for El Clásico.”
It was thought that the French midfielder would also miss the game. But Arbeloa has since downplayed such speculation, and the player will be ready to return to action tonight.
