This season, the 18-year-old Brazilian, Estevao has been a bright spot for Chelsea, scoring in three straight league-phase Champions League games earlier this season.
His game currently lacks consistency, which makes perfect sense for someone his age. However, it’s also important to note that his recent fitness issues have corresponded with the team’s dip in form.
When Estevao was pulled off in the sixteenth minute of Chelsea’s match against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last Saturday due to right leg muscle soreness, alarms were raised. With the way Rosenior described his injury after the match, it appeared that the forward had sustained a serious injury that could rule him out till the end of the season.
During his press conference ahead of this match, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior responded to inquiries over a few of his injured players.

No, he won’t play tonight after suffering a hamstring injury against United; he is expected to be out for a few weeks.
In his pre-match press conference, Rosenior said: “Estevao is definitely out, which is a real shame and we are doing further tests into the extent of his injury.”
When will Estevao return from injury?
According to reports, Estevao is expected to be sidelined for 15-20 days due to the hamstring injury he sustained fifteen minutes into Saturday’s match against Manchester United.
Moreover, he could be back for the FA Cup final if Chelsea qualify. Hamstring pulls can heal in a matter of days or months. Everything relies on the particulars of each injury.
Just five weeks remain till the Premier League season ends on May 24. With so little remaining, it is conceivable that Estêvão may not play again this season, at least in the absence of more information.
