The forward has scored three goals in 13 matches.
Santos have failed to make the most of Neymar after his return to the club, as they have struggled to perform in the league and have continued to suffer defeats.
With their 1-0 loss against Vitoria last week, Santos FC lost for the thirteenth time and were unable to move up from sixteenth place in the league after twenty-eight games.
Being near the relegation zone, Santos will need to turn things around if they are to remain in the top division of the Brazilian league this season. Neymar’s arrival has helped a little, as the forward continues to deal with injuries.
The Brazilian side will next face Botafogo, who are sixth in the league and have performed decently.
Santos have defeated Botafogo four times in a row. Botafogo won their most recent match 1-0 on the road. Four Santos triumphs, three draws, and two Botafogo victories have resulted from the previous nine head-to-head encounters.
This will be another big fixture for the Peixe, but they are once again set to be without their star player for the game as he is still recovering from an injury.

Will Neymar play tonight?
Neymar has been ruled out of the game after suffering an injury during training and is expected to be sidelined until November.
It’s not new as the forward has continued to fight for full fitness since he arrived in Brazil. But he has also managed to play many matches when he could. However, fitness remains a big issue for him as he is also fighting to play for the national team next summer.
But his main priority will be to keep Santos safe from relegation when he returns from the injury in November. The player will also hope to remain fit until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

When will he return?
He is expected to return in November.
How many goals has he scored since his return?
