Zambia squad for AFCON 2025; Patson Daka included

Zambia have named their final squad for the competition.
Concerning the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this month, Zambia coach Moses Sichone has announced his final 28-man roster, confirming a mix of young homegrown talent and seasoned internationals.
With Matthews Banda, Given Kalusa, Pascal Phiri, and Zanaco striker Eliya Mandanji receiving their first senior call-ups following successful domestic seasons, Sichone’s roster has several noteworthy newcomers.
Three uncapped goalkeepers, Lawrence Mulenga, Francis Mwansa and Willard Mwanza, have been named by the coach to lead his goalkeeping unit.
Forward Patson Daka, who continues to lead the Chipolopolo attack, and Austria’s side Jack Kalichi Lahne, who netted on his debut during the most recent FIFA window, lead the attacking contingent.
The team’s international status is further enhanced by winger Lameck Banda (Lecce), Joseph Liteta (Cagliari), and Kings Kangwa (Maccabi Be’er Sheva).
From 11 to 17 December, Zambia will be in preparation phase in Murcia, Spain. But the entire team will only get together after the release of foreign-based players on December 15.
