ChatGPT Predicts the podium finish at Miami GP 2023
Some unexpected podium sitters have been foreseen by the AI application.
Formula 1 welcomes the Miami GP 2023, with the main race scheduled on May 8. This will be the second edition of the F1 event at Miami International Autodrome in Florida, USA.
In the inaugural edition, Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the race with the Ferrari driving duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finishing behind him. In 2023, Sergio Perez and Verstappen are going neck to neck, as both have won two races each after the completion of four races this season.
Difficult to predict the winner
However, Miami GP is a street track with 19 corners and three straights, while a few weeks before the event the track is assembled as it is located in Hard Rock Stadium. It will be the traditional race weekend with no ‘Sprint Race’ like the last one at Baku.
Although the inaugural season at Miami was not entertaining, this time it is likely to be thrilling as the forecast suggests high chances of rain on Sunday. This region in the USA was hit by a flood last month and the track was underwater just a few weeks before this weekend.
So, considering weather conditions and equal dominance from the Red Bull star drivers this season, also considering Ferrari’s major upgrades for this race, it is hard to predict the winner, but much talked about Artificial Intelligence (AI) application ‘ChatGPT’ has predicted the winner of Miami GP 2023 and the two other podium finishers.
ChatGPT predicts podium finish for Lewis Hamilton at Miami GP 2023
AI-enabled application ‘Chat GPT’ has predicted defending champion Max Verstappen as the winner of the upcoming race weekend at Miami GP 2023, while the driver for the runner-up spot is surprising as it chooses Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, and last to stand at the podium will be Ferrari’s, Charles Leclerc.
This newly built AI-enabled app has not included Perez among the podium finishers, who will start on pole and is currently in second position in Drivers Standings 2023 with 87 points. It predicts the Mexican driver to finish in the fifth spot because of wet tyres.
Before the qualifying got underway, ChatGPT's prediction for the starting grid position was also interesting. It predicted that the two-time champion, Verstappen will start in pole position, but Hamilton will be in P6 and Leclerc in P3.
As it turned out, Perez took pole, while Verstappen will start at P9 and Leclerc in on P7. Hamilton is way behind in the grid in P13 after getting eliminated from Q2 in qualifying.
As per ChatGPT, the rain will create some drama, eventually resulting in a few minor accidents due to the slippery track. Seven-time champion Hamilton will take advantage of his experience and drive his Mercedes car to a first podium finish of the season.
However, after the last race at Baku GP, it is expected Miami GP 2023 to be a close-contested finish, as rainy conditions always challenge top teams to maintain their successful performance, and also other teams bring major upgrades at this race.
