Ever since its comeback on the calendar in 2021, the Dutch GP has quickly become a fan favourite thanks in part to its high-speed corners and electrifying crowds. Adding to the excitement, Max Verstappen is entering his home turf with an impressive streak of eight consecutive wins, poised to potentially match Sebastian Vettel’s legendary record of nine consecutive Formula 1 victories. Now, let’s delve into the updated schedule for the Dutch GP 2023.
Reflecting on last year’s race, the 2022 Dutch GP delivered everything fans anticipated. Local hero Max Verstappen claimed victory amidst a strong performance from the Mercedes team and late Safety Car drama at Zandvoort, resulting in George Russell and Charles Leclerc completing the podium.
Fast forward to 2023, and it appears Max is once again on track to secure the crown in his home race, having clinched victory in eight consecutive races. This achievement would not only equal Vettel’s record of nine consecutive wins but also mark a triumphant hat-trick of victories for Max at the iconic Zandvoort circuit.
However, the spotlight would also be on Daniel Ricciardo, who made his return to the track just before the summer hiatus. Now a part of the AlphaTauri team, the Australian driver is eager to leave his mark once more, taking over the reins from Nyck de Vries prior to the July Hungarian Grand Prix.
