The action continues at Silverstone as George Russell looks to close the gap.

The 2026 British GP is set to be one of the biggest races of the Formula 1 season, with the world’s best drivers returning to the iconic Silverstone Circuit. One of the most iconic races will witness the Championship battle play out in real time.

With his second-season win in Austria, Mercedes’ George Russell has closed the gap with his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who still leads the Drivers’ Championship with 40 points, while Russell surpassed fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton and now holds the second spot.

With several storylines developing across the grid, the event promises plenty of excitement as teams and drivers battle for victory.

The race will commence on Sunday, with the grid lined up as per qualifying. As noted, Russell will look to continue his momentum and accumulate more points to close the gap in the Championship lead with Antonelli. In 2025, Lando Norris won the race, with Oscar Piastri and Nico HĂĽlkenberg completing the podium.
