Lando Norris holds a decent record at Yas Marina.
Stepping into the Abu Dhabi GP 2025 with a 12-point lead over second-placed Max Verstappen, Lando Norris was currently in a pole position to win the F1 Championship.
However, Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, were on his tail to spoil the party for the Briton. Norris managed to hang on with Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari, trying to chase him down.
Norris, who has secured 18 podiums this season, also aimed to safeguard his title at Yas Marina and with a P3 finish, he triumphed over Verstappen with two points to clinch his maiden title. Interestingly, all 11 of Lando Norris’s career wins have come at different circuits.
Lando Norris’ Formula 1 career so far

The Briton made his F1 debut in 2019 at the Australian GP with the McLaren team, aged 19. At that time, Carlos Sainz Jr was his teammate with the England-based constructor.
His first podium finish came at the Austrian GP in July 2020, where he finished 4.802 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton at P4. However, Hamilton was later dropped to fourth after he was issued a five-second penalty due to his collision with Red Bull’s Alex Albon. Meanwhile, his first triumph came in Miami in 2024.
During the 2024 season, Norris won four races, including his triumph in Abu Dhabi. The Briton started the race from the pole position, and it was also his first podium finish at Yas Marina after consistently falling short in his five earlier attempts.
Discussing his previous performances in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital, the 25-year-old has consistently participated in the race since his Formula One debut.
