Formula 2 2026: Kush Maini joins ART Grand Prix for his fourth F2 season

Kush Maini gained 13 positions in the Abu Dhabi feature race to close out his 2025 F2 season.

Indian racing driver Kush Maini will compete for ART Grand Prix in the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship, marking a significant step forward in his single-seater career.  The 2026 season will be Maini’s fourth in Formula 2.

While the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season didn’t go as per plan, his historic victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, was key in his development. He ended the season on a high with a stellar performance in Abu Dhabi, gaining 13 positions in the feature race.

Over the course of his career, Maini has demonstrated consistent development in the Formula 1 car, earning the post-season testing opportunity with the BWT Alpine Formula 1 Team. In the session that commenced yesterday, he showcased his talent and immense pace, pleasing the Alpine Formula 1 outfit.

As he heads into the 2026 season, he not only joins ART Grand Prix in Formula 2 but will also continue his role as Reserve and Test Driver for the BWT Alpine Formula 1 Team. Maini continues to wave the Indian flag at the highest level of international motorsport.
